60th AnniversaryPosted: May 12, 2014
We are VERY EXCITED to be a part of KEZW’s 60th anniversary celebrations. In November 1954, from the Ranger Motel on East Colfax, KOSI AM-1430 signed on the air as one of Colorado’s first rock and roll stations. It later became KEZW and despite the name change, they continue to play a lot of the same tunes they did back in the day. Rick Crandall, KEZW’s Breakfast Club host said, “KEZW is thrilled to be back in Civic Center Park with our friends from the Capitol Hill People’s Fair. What better place for us to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of AM 1430 than at the Swing Stage with the people we’ve shared the airwaves with for so long?” KEZW will be showcasing some of Colorado’s most talented local musicians on the Studio 1430 Bandstand stage, located to the north of the Broadway promenade and next to the Wine Pavilion at the 2014 People’s Fair – June 7 & 8. So come on down, grab a glass of wine and swing in the 60th anniversary of Studio 1430 KEZW.
