People’s Fair & Green Spaces + Show support at 5% Day!

The 2013 Capitol Hill People’s Fair is pleased to announce a new partnership with Green Spaces, a shared work space where socially conscious entrepreneurs connect and grow their businesses! The People’s Fair is excited to expand the ‘Green Zone’ non-profit area of the fair into a full ‘Green Space’. The Green Space will essentially be a small festival within a festival, featuring non-profit and for-profit businesses alike that have a significant ‘green’ focus or mission.

Green Spaces Colorado offers dedicated desk space on a monthly basis, as well as other opportunities for entrepreneurs to utilize occasional work space, complimentary mailbox and mail delivery service, and participation in networking events and more! Information on Green Spaces Colorado can be found at

“The collaboration between Green Spaces and the Capitol Hill People’s Fair is a natural fit,” said Green Spaces founder Jennie Nevin. “People’s Fair attendees are encouraged to check out the Green Space Area and learn how they can make environmentally conscious changes in their everyday lives.”

The People’s Fair Greening Program is part of a larger, citywide program, “Green Up Denver,” to provide standardized Green Team volunteer and vendor training, triple-stream waste management infrastructure and tools, third-party audited compostable and recyclable event supply order guides, triple stream waste management service referrals, public environmental education and tiered Green Event standards and certification by the City and County of Denver for businesses, vendors, events and festivals in Denver. On Wednesday, April 24, shop at any of the five Denver-metro WHOLE FOODS MARKET locations, and 5 percent of all net sales will go toward the initiative.
