Spotlight: Green Area Part 2

Yesterday we introduced you to 3 of the Green Non-Profits that will be at this years People’s Fair! Here are 3 more Green Non-Profits that will have a tent in the green area.  If you haven’t heard, the green area will be located between the CHUN Stage and the Seal Pond! Stop by and check out these great non-profits and say hi to our Green Police while you are there!  This is the best place to find out how to make your life more green!

Colorado Environmental Coalition- as “Colorado’s voice for conservation since 1965”, CEC works every year inspiring thousands of organizations and individuals who care deeply about Colorado. We work on a variety of issues that span the state and include protecting our public lands, ensuring the quality of the water we drink, preserving wildlife habitat and opportunities for recreation, advocating for good transportation and growth practices, promoting common sense policies in the state legislature, and providing technology resources to other non-profits.  Stop by their booth and see what you or your organization can do to work with Colorado Envrionmental Coalition

People for Bikes – If you are someone who loves bikes, then you will love this organization! People for Bikes is dedicated to channeling the passion for bikes, and their benefits to improve the future of bicycling.  Colorado is ranked #3 in the list of most pledges with 29, 093 pledges! Riding a bicycle is a healthy way to have a good time!  It can get you from point A to B and can also save you on gas money.  They keep our air cleaner and the roads less congested!  If you love riding bicycles, stop by this booth and learn what you can do to help People For Bikes become even more successful!

Bicycle Colorado – this non-profit organization is dedicated to improving bicycle conditions and protecting the rights of bicyclist across Colorado.  Some of their achievements include: overturning the State Patrol’s cap on bike events, getting the agressive driver hotline approved to report motorist who put bicyclists at risk, and introducing the Share the Road license plate!  To find out more about what Bicycle Colorado has achieved and how you can participate, stop by their booth!
